Canada Offers Thousands of Annual National Park Passes to Americans

Escaping into nature has never been so easy! Thanks to a unique initiative, US travelers can win free access to a total of 80 different Canadian national parks, for a full year. You just have to be at least 21 years old and a US citizen and enter online on July 31 by 11:59 pm ET.

The Giveaway

Prospective American visitors to Canada are eligible to snag one of the 4000 Parks Canada Discovery passes. These year-long passes are part of an effort taken by Destination Canada, named the Canada Refresh Program. Under the program, each $113 worth annual pass covers access to over 80 travel destinations all across the country, like Jasper National Park and Banff National Park in Alberta, Glacier National Park in British Columbia, and many more.

The Objective

Gloria Loree, the senior vice president of marketing strategy for Destination Canada, explains that being the northern next-door neighbor of America, Canada wishes to welcome their American friends to their land for an unforgettable time. All the spots for access are carefully chosen to lift the spirits of the travelers. They include endless coastlines, spectacular lakes, towering mountains, lush forests, and many other wonders to explore. According to Loree, this unique initiative will help Americans connect more with nature, and in the process, strengthen their appreciation for the natural richness of Canada.

The Additional Access

There’s a bonus too! Destination Canada is also offering a Dream Nature Sabbatical worth a whopping $20,000 to one lucky US winner. This special all-in-one service will feature a tailored custom sabbatical experience that includes all excursions, accommodations, transportation, and travel gear from best-in-line Canadian brands like Arc’teryx and Monos, along with a year-long pass for the national parks and a stipend for food. There’s certainly no better way to spend your time soaking in the invigorating nature of Canada!
