Teacher Trims Girl’s Hair Without Asking, Oblivious of Her Dad's Identity

He had lost his wife Angela to a cancer battle when their little girl had been just three years old. Sarah treasured her hair greatly. Each Sunday afternoon, it was Carl's job to lovingly shampoo and brush her hair before he did it up in any style she fancied. Sarah was excitedly just on the edge of entering her third-grade year at the community elementary school. She always had a good time during her years there and she was lucky to have so many friends. She absolutely loved art and music, they were her favorite subjects. Mrs. Banna, her teacher from second grade, always gave her support and encouragement in her passions.

Mrs. Thompson was just starting out as a teacher, and the class of Sarah would be her inaugural one. She had a set of sturdy principles about teaching and the optimum way for children to learn.
