This Is Why Everyone Is Talking About Subscription Travel

There’s no greater joy than being able to see the world in all of its glory, but is it time for a change in the way that we travel? For decades, avid travelers have usually saved up their hard-earned money for one or two luxurious vacations each year and then waited in the wings for the next one to come along. However, it seems as though more and more people are starting to talk about subscription travel.

Our Subscription Lives

In today’s day and age, subscriptions are everything. Most of us have subscription streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon, we listen to subscription music services such as Spotify and Apple Music, and we can even buy our friends and family subscription gifts that keep them going for months and end. Although subscription travel has been on the lips of many for a few years, it seems as though it’s now the time for it to really shine.

Starting A New Trend

For a while now, companies across the globe have tried to bring the travel world new ideas and new concepts that would change the way that we travel. The first subscription app landed in our lives in 2017, and while it proved to be fairly popular, it didn’t quite cut the mustard in its attempts to change our whole idea of travel. Since then, more and more subscription companies have popped up.

The Big Idea

But what is subscription travel? For many of these companies, the idea is that you pay a certain amount of money each month, and in return, you can build up points or perks that allow you to create a perfect vacation when you want one. Alternatively, there are other companies that allow you to pay into the subscription service before you are randomly allocated a vacation.

Would you sign up for a travel subscription service? Or is it too out of the box?
